Come back, but without weapons

Book presentation and citizens' meeting "Come back, but without weapons".

on 31.03.2016 in the Rosensälen Jena

The aim of the event was a citizens' encounter on the topic of imprisonment in Vladimir (Russia). After the official welcome by Ms Cornelia Bartlau, the city of Jena's Equal Opportunities Officer and supervisor of the partnership with Vladimir, after the book presentation by Mr Peter Steger and the appearance of the contemporary witness Mr Günter Kuhne, a pleasant citizens' meeting with private conversations took place. Several participants also came to the microphone to share their own impressions and opinions. Many called for peace in the world and mutual understanding between peoples. A group of pupils from Vladimir also greeted the people of Jena with an artistic performance and gifts. The European volunteers we currently have in Jena helped out in the hall. The official representative of the Russian Consulate in Leipzig, Ms Ludmila Tatarnikova, was present and gave words of greeting.
